Upper Moreland residents who drive a Hyundai or Kia between model years 2016 and 2021 can receive a free wheel-locking kit, department leaders said in a statement Monday, Feb. 13.
Authorities say the affected vehicles lack certain built-in security measures, like automatic steering locks or push-button ignitions. In response, the manufacturers are offering free kits "to select law enforcement agencies across the country for distribution" to drivers, they said.
The offer stands for all qualified township residents until supplies run out, police added.
To apply for your free steering wheel lock kit, visit the Upper Moreland Township Police website.
